How to upgrade your Pit Bikes performance

Pit bikes have a limited window in terms of performance, so many people purchase performance parts to enhance the amount of work it does. If you have a 125cc dirt bike, it can only do so much in terms of performance. It will surely not compare to another 250cc bike, as the other one would be much faster in both speed and acceleration. Pit bike performance parts don’t always come in cheap, so you really need to have some money in hand if you want to do some work on your bike. Just like how people modify their cars in terms of look and performance, some riders love to increase the performance of their bikes. This can either be a dirt bike or pit bike.

There are a number of different pit bike performance parts that you can add to your bike in order to increase speed and acceleration. Speed and acceleration are two completely different things, as speed is the overall distance covered in a set period of time. Acceleration is the amount of speed in which the overall speed increased. In order to increase a pit bike’s performance, you can do a number of different things to your bike. The carburetor on the bike is a performance limiter, so you may want to pick one up that has a lot of power. With the pit bike carburetor, you would also need to add in a good air filter. When there is more air flow into the engine, it would increase the total horsepower.

Replace the current stock exhaust system with a performance exhaust system that increases total pit bike performance. Once you have changed these three things on your pike, you will surely see the benefit of adding pit bike performance parts. Exhaust systems can be costly, depending on the brand and style you choose. You should shop online to find the best deal on performance exhausts for pit bikes. Your stock pit bike will have a limited CDI unit installed. This will limit the amount of RPM on your bike. If you take it off and add in a performance CDI unit, it will increase the overall RPM. This would give you greater acceleration.

The gears on your pike could be changed as well, which would give you added speeds. In order to change this feature, you would have to play around with the sprockets on the bike. Usually, you will see fourteen tooth sprockets for the front, and forty tooth sprockets for the back of the bike. If you get pit bike performance parts for sprockets, you will get an added speed to your bike. What you need to do is get a larger sprocket for the front and a smaller one for the back. Both these additions would increase speed, but not acceleration. Acceleration is sometimes lost when sprockets are changed or altered.
