Mine sometimes back fires when the exhaust is loose
So I'd check that aswell.

mine does exactley the same...when i had my xsport...when the end can was off it it didnt back fire once but when it is on it it intends to go bang bang blllurrrr like its bogging out...thats the pigs problem now

yeah mine too good old 125klx

had some super fun today went out after it rained and had the most fun i had ever had drifting round mudd'e corners on the track so going out again tomoz let just say my back and helmet was caked ! wooo... and as for the bike !!

my spark plug looks the same so im guessin i need to adjust my mixture,

so what should the mixture screw be like, is it 2 turns or somethin?

it sounds like all of you learned to spell on a Nokia. so pipe down all of ya. lol.
anyway. backfiring. nightmare. if u are too rich then just turn ur mixture screw a bit. half turn at a time. and then do the plug check. its not the idle screw. u will know if u turn that coz it will rev the nuts off it or kill it. mixture screw is sometimes in a strange place. take carb off and look at it. not easy to find on some of them.

You will have 2 adjustment screws on your carb 1 will be for idle and 1 for the mixture. If you can can only see 1 on the side of the carb that will be the idle and the other (mixture) will be underneath. If so remove the carb and unscrew it 1/4 of a turn, refit the carb and see if its better.

If you have 2 on the side of the carb start the bike up and then turn one of them taking note of of how far you turn itif it increases or decreases your revs then this is the idle screw if not its the mixture.
