klx 110 superstock

First off hope this is the right place for this as it was my project over the winter. Now i always use to say why buy a klx when the import bikes are so cheap. But with the prices of import bikes goin up all the time and them getting better i try this.

Am going back to last year so some of you may have already seen my bike about the forum. But i've always been one for the import bike with having over 9 of them. Such as all the xsports they did to thumpstars and a pitster to even my last import bike i had a bbr workz wfa 124. Witch i had for over 2 years and loved it. But my knees got worst and worst having had broken them so many times. So i thought i'd try a klx 110 as i never got on with the pitser x4 160 i had so back in august i sold my workz. And in september i get a klx 110 off fiddyforum it had some mads to be a superstock really but most the parts where wearn and needed replacing. Now i'll put the spec below before i got it and then tell you what i did to it and the spec of it now.

my klx before i got it.JPG
this pic is as i got the bike.

the bikes a 2002 klx 110.
two bros dress up kit
pro circuit pipe
sfb oil cap
bbr gear lever
ufo plastics (but front frender was cut down dont know why)
pro circuit sticker kit
low seat
protaper bars
ims pegs
ims peg bar
bbr rims
two bros sprocket
chp over the top brake padel
fast50 fuel cap
tb airfilter (didnt fit right as it was ment for bigger carb)
ishock (blown)

So over all not bad but the engine was that great after i had a go when getting it home plus chain n sprockets where wearn out and other stuff.

Now here's what i've done to it now since i've had it

my klx superstock.jpg
my klx superstock 2002.jpg
my klx no plastics engine pic#.jpg

Engine rebuild on top half
new piston
new carb o-ring
new carb spacer o-ring
new carb intake gaskets
new talon sprockets
hot cam stage 1
new did chain
new rear wheel bearings
sprocket holder bearing
new front frender
bbr tall seat
carb rejetting 40/85
new tyres
new uni filter
bbr hd dammering rods
fast50 fork springs
ebc brake pads
asv lever

Now all thats cost near on £500 and i did most of it myself at that the bike cost £900 so over all near on £1400. And you can buy some great import bikes with that money but now i've rode it all done its so nice to ride i've more leg room them the crfs too.

Alot of money i can see people saying but really you need to have a go on a real klx 110 to understand just how good they feel.

Thanks for your time if i've missed anything out i'll update or post on to this.

Thanks craig
