Someone near halifax Help! New engine problems!! :(

I'll start by listing everything so you all know whats happening..
Got myself a yx160 and vm26 carb with 22.5 pilot and a 145 main.

got it all fitted and and went to kick it kicked it for 5 mins straight and nothing so checked wiring it all fine so left it for night and took it to my bike mechanic last night. went up tonight and he cant get it to start either, hes checked everything and its all fine he said. hes also put a little adapter to check for a spark and it sparks fine, the only way after ages was to bump it. but even after we bumped it and let it warm up it still wouldnt start from being kicked.

ive spoke to the shop guy i got it of brand new and he said could be anything from the earthing cables to a weak spark..

im really stuck now as i dont know that much, but with it being brand new i thought it would be easy but it isnt and im stuck now

Take it back mate if he cant get it working not fit for purpose

he doesnt seem to want to take it back, just keeps telling me its a possible weak spark or must be a wiring problem.

No buddy got a guy looking at it tonight hes all over the facebook groups helping people and people are always asking him so must know what hes on about.

guna have to meet up with ya soon though dom and blast around a track even tho ill probs be pushing mine

You'll need to change the cdi mate. they are specific to the engine size.
Flockton would be a good place to meet up.

If you've gone to the trouble of sticking a new motor in I would've gone new electrics. Besides its always good to have spares at hand for what they cost. It's good when ya stuck like this for eliminating. They'll never come in wrong.
