140cc pit bike recommendations/ advice

Hi all Wanting to buy a 140 pitbike but not sure whether to get a new cheaper bike such as from Funky Bikes or a better quality but 2nd hand bike eg a Stomp? Budget of £600 tops, ideally less. Cheers

Re: 140cc pit bike recommendations/ advice

Thanks Thing is I went to a bike shop and they said they are all made in the same place from same parts...just different stickers. Any truth in that? They were trying to sell me a cheaper one...

Re: 140cc pit bike recommendations/ advice

What shop?

Shops generally charge more, buy online, buy new would be my advice.

A lot of pit bikes are owned and ridden by complete numpties who don't do any maintenance to them.

Get a 140 from Funbikes.

Stomp/Demon are yes...

Plenty of good second hand bikes with upgrades already in place, if you know what you are looking at - likewise there's plenty of tut that hasn't been maintained. You get what you pay for...

Not all new bikes are fault free, post rides. You need to keep on top of them also..all basic maintenance.

What and where, are you looking to ride/race?
