Bike: Honda Pit bike
Exclamation 110cc pit bike wont start.

so i bought this pit bike the other day its quite old and the former owner took it all apart and redid everything, so it has a new carb etc. but some o the wiring he did is a bit 'bodge' so i re-did all the conections and cleaned the kill switch. When i first tested the spark plug there was a fairly decent spark but when i tested it again the next day... there was no spark. so i tested the spark plug on another bike and it worked fine with a brilliant spark, so it wasn't the plug that was bad. So then after redoing all the connections and even by-passing the kill switch incase that was the problem there still was NO SPARK! So i took off the cover of the fly wheel and cleaned all the contacts (because they were a little rusty) but still no spark. I do get the occasional 'shock' from it, so that must mean power is getting through but not enough to make a spark... has anyone got and suggestions... please... I'm stuck for ideas!

Do you have a multi meter? If so test the live wire from your coil to see if power is getting through, Then check the cdi, Either that or you could have a bad earth.

as said earth is the first biggie sand down frame and the o ringd connection

then check cdi borrow a friends of same type to try

check wiring for dry ends, cracks, snapps etc...

if all else fails buy a new loom only cheap with cdi, kill switch, coil etc..
