honda c90 tuning
hi, i have a honda c90 engine wich i have converted from semi auto into a manual. i have a f*ucked 125 lifian engine and im wondering if the gears will fit the c90 engine ?
if not what gears will fit the c90 engine? (im using the engine for road use so ill need something with good pick up in the lower gears and a good top end in the higher gears)
the original gears are knocking and grinding so the will have to be replaced pretty soon.
im also thinking of fitting the 125 head on the honda engine would this make much difference ?
plus i am planning on fitting the piston off a honda c70 onto the c90 as the 70cc piston is domed.
how much difference would the domed piston would make to the performance?

Re: honda c90 tuning
now why would you want to ruin the honda engine with chinese engine parts?
I've heard atc70 boxes fit. Possibly the year 86' ask harrison. I believe he knows.
Also fit a C70 head. It has bigger valves.

Re: honda c90 tuning
I AGREE ABOVE DO NOT PUT CHINESE PARTS IN SUCH A LEGENDERY ENGINE !
from past experience with my C70c i have found the C90C block with the Honda C70 head ( E22 STAMP BIG VALVE ) works best you would get power & TORQUE with the reliabilty but doing all this is not cheap.
if you have a limted budget just buy a lifan 125cc engine and slam it into the cub...

Re: honda c90 tuning
DONT put that 125 head on as it has smaller valves than your c90 engine try finding either a c70 head or a e22 as for the gears dont know if its any good to you but i have a honda c100 engine in need of a new kick start shaft and flywheel cover you could maybe use some of the gears out of that in the 90 engine ?
