CRF50 Stock-Mod Build

Don't like the project layout stuff so I'll just post here. Anyway, wasn't too happy with my chink build so decided to build another bike out of quality parts so started collecting stuff.

Got bored today so started building it up, just need a set of engine mounts with the notch for the brake spring and a proper rear axle as my stock one ain't long enough. Should be picking up a 2005 motor at the end of the month when the lad gets a new one.

Spec as it sits is...
  • BBR SP5 Forks
  • Stock Front Honda Hub laced to Red Baron 12" Rim
  • Thumpstar Adjustable Shock
  • Five-O Fairing & Five-O Rising Sun Graphics
  • Five-O Seat
  • Takegawa Tank Risers(Flipped to run at stock height, I like them.)
  • Fast50's CNC Billet Throttle & Brake Perch
  • Takegawa Throttle Cable
  • Fast50's Extended Front Brake Cable
  • Talon 39T Rear Sprocket
  • Sano Performance Pipe
  • Generic Rear Wheel
  • Strengthened 2005 Honda CRF50F Frame
  • Red Baron MX Bars
  • Red Baron +2 Swingarm
  • Five-O Chain Guard
  • Michelin Starcross Tyres
But got a few more bits lined up, then it'll get a final strip down, repaint the frame, swingarm bearings, swingarm polished, forks repainted, all new stickers for the pipe, swingarm, forks etc. Should be a nice bike.

Glad to see there's still some interest here, seems it's all moved onto Buccis now lol. They're the most fun I've ever had on any "pit bike", haven't rode a full mod but stockers and stock/mod are brilliant fun.

Got a few little bits on order for next week, will keep those quiet for now though

I've been to some tracks and rode with some people with them and they look fun but I'm not sure my floor layers knees could handle something so small.

They look like they'd be incredibly uncomfortable, but you'd be surprised. I find mine more comfortable than my pals old chinky 70.

12" front came with the forks at a decent price so wasn't one to say no, Going to grab another stock hub and 10" aftermarket rim soon.

So my Red Baron bars never came with a barpad unfortunately, however luckily enough I managed to find a couple on eBay for £10, doesn't match the original one but Red Baron is Red Baron.

Got one on order now, if anyone else is after one here's a link:

Re: CRF50 Stock-Mod Build

Got some CRF88F replica fairing off Smify for a steal so whacked them on, a Five-O chain guide to replace the stock one and some yellow spoke wraps.

Bought some ProTaper MX grips & donuts to replace my old spare Aprilia grips, fitted the Red Baron barpad.

After fitting the yellow spoke wraps decided to run all yellow pipework so got that on order at the moment for all my fuel lines and such.

Bought a Kitaco head breather from Shire Bikes for a bargain at £9, so got that sitting ready to slap on the lump when I pick it up and I'm replacing the clear hose with a yellow silicone hose.

Just waiting for a date to pick my lump up at the moment.

Should also be grabbing a red Hardstyle "Spade" sprocket, fast50's gear lever in red, red baron tank cap and a spare red baron chain guide, just need to sort out some decent foot pegs, peg bar and brake pedal.

Also got an axle on order as I seem to have misplaced my real one so it's sitting on threaded bar for now.
