brand new engine kick...............

just a quick one,my mate just bought brand new wpb 140,when he went to kick it over,he got piston tdc then kicked it over but kick start slipped, surely this should nt happen on brand new bike.it has only slipped once but he is now flapping over it.

Re: brand new engine kick...............

What do you mean slip?

Its quite common for pitbike kickstart gears to slip occasionaly if not engaged correctly when kicking over.

If you mean the kickstart lever on the shaft splines then just make sure its tight, which is mentioned in the pdi instructions.

no,its the actual shaft inside engine.it only happens now and then, just sounds and feels wrong when it does slip???

I could be wrong but... Is the clutch adjusted correctly? It might be slipping. Depends what sort of engine the WPB has
