Hey there, so what bike did you get ??

Yeah the oil that comes standard in the lifan engines is utter cr*p and it will turn to water when it warms up, it will become so thin that it will start to seep past the seals in the engine (namely valve stem seals) giving a lovely big puff of smoke when your changing down- NOT GOOD!LOL

You just need to replace it with any good brand of 10W-40 Enginge oil, and make sure its NOT Fully Synthetic, this will be too thin aswell-
It doesnt HAVE to be a motorcycle 10W-40, any car oil equivelant will be just the same, just make sure you stick to a well know brand (Castrol, Putoline, etc) and you`ll be fine.

Hoep this helps

Hi,
New to bikes but from what I've read about them you should only use bike oil as car oil could make the clutch slip.
This might be wrong, so I stand to be corrected

Well I know that full synthetic car oil will make the clutch slip, and I dont think you can get a fully synthetic bike oil for a four stroke engine oil anyway ( I am aware you can get fully synthetic 2 stroke mix for bikes) . So I think this might be what your talking about, but as long as its not a fully synthetic car oil, it should be an equivalent of motorbike oil, but I too stand to be corrected.

I use 10w40 semi senthetic Belray and almost costs the same as car oil and grabs good on clutch with no problems.Stick with motorcycle oil as its made for the rpm's and heat they generate.

you actually can get fully synthetic motorcycle oil from AMSOIL, 10w-40 MCF; as well as 10w-40, 15w-50 and 30w-60 Dirt Bike oil. i use 10w-40 MCF in my 110cc engine but i am about to buy this engine because i want a freaking clutch. it works freaking fantastic for me and the oil does a SUPERB job in my engine.
