i had a solid disc made today, i think the vented one was chewing my pads up so gonna try it out. its made from 3mm stainless steel and if it works ill make a pretty one. lol.
you will probablyu note that your brake isnt actually as good as the venting in the disc does more than just look pretty, it also keeps the pads cleaner, where as you will get a build up of caked on cr4p on this one, it also allows heat to disapate from both pads and disc and also allows the worn pad material to escape, you will just heat the pads up and and disc causing pad glazing and the heat will just cook any filth onto both bud
cross drilling a light pattern into your disc would eleviate alot of this from happening which you may want to consider
He made a solid one because the mud and grit he goes through gets caught in the vents and chews through his pads, a solid disk should stop that.
He'll run it, see how it goes.
Wavey shape and vents are on the cards if this one's ok.
You can buy solid rotors for most dirt bikes, used mainly in muddy conditions. Increases pad life because there's no where for the mud/stones to get caught.
all i can do is try it, the heat may be a problem when riding sm, but in in the mud and water how hot do the discs get. every problem that you can think of someone else has thought of and told me, ill be out on it in the morning so ill get back.
