new seat for tzr monkey

its gonna take some work to make it fit with the gorrila tank. numberplate/light bracket not bolted in place will need modding but it should help me stop sliding off the back off the seat

not the direct fit it was promised to be though

I like it, Cafe racer look is a timeless one

I've got the same rear shocks as you on my Monster Monkey, miles better than those gold/blue piggy back shocks you can get

Re: new seat for tzr monkey

yeah they are great think they only cost £60 too,
thinking about losing the rear grab rail too and mounting lights ect from under the rear of the seat, even contemplating a complete strip down and getting the frame powder coated over the winter ready to hit the road again next year

hmm stay black or maybe a colour change to candy apple red

Re: new seat for tzr monkey

Not a bad price, is that from a UK supplier? I reckon one would suit my SS

A clean rear end would suit that well, not sure how you'd mount the light/plate though, only one way to find out!

Re: new seat for tzr monkey

its from OOracing

will have to make a new mounting panel to get it to fit properly though but i should also then be able to mount the rear light and numberplate off it too

decided its time to strip it and get it blasted and painted now i am happy its running spot on will also paint the engine covers too so should look really smart again

only took two years of development to get it working right lol

Re: new seat for tzr monkey

cheers, I'll take a look at OO, if you get chance could you measure it for me, length and width

These Monkeys are very addictive, the only standard bits on mine are the lockset, swingarm bolt and shock nuts.

Did you see my Monkey EFI thread? It's gone a bit quiet while I wait on bits at the moment but should give me something to do over the winter

Re: new seat for tzr monkey

yeah i have been following that thread

now fuel injection on my 2 stroke would be a challenge
i left it at work but will have a measure up next week the rear bracket is too narrow to fit where it bolts upto the shock mount and if u have a gorrila tank u will need to move the front bracket forward a touch, but they are not bolt on as stated unless there is a difference between a gen honda frame and a jincheng

SCHWEEEEET!

A candy frame would set it off with same other candy bits eg. yolkes.

Re: new seat for tzr monkey

my worry with the candy is it will get marked to easy and be impossible to touch up, my other idea is good old orange and black colour scheme so basicly orange frame and details rest black
or maybe just stick with black/silver but have the frame silver
