I think your abit stuffed for choice... i think there was like 3 discs that fitted the 5 bolt hub... Besides i think all them discs that fit are all the same thickness... if thats what you was after ?

For some reason a Reeg Disc pops into my head though ?

i want to run a cr85 front caliper but need a larger and thicker disc than the marzocchi (formula) disc. think i may need to look at kx65 hubs built onto a 12" rim

Yeah, For a thicker disc you'll need a differnt hub/adaptor...

All the disc made for them wheels would be fitment for the mountain bike style discs which are thinner...

Kx65 hub would be a nice adaption get some nice disc's too then.

Re: marzocchi disc alternatives

kx 65 pal, STR make the fitting kit, supposed to be best brake you can run. benthepro normally runs them. I was going to do it to the bbr but never got round to it.

i think you need the Disc and caliper mount from STR then source a front brake from ebay, they are nissin brakes i think

other than that J.I.M is the man to ask

Re: marzocchi disc alternatives

As everyone already said - 65 wheels/disc - Hope will make you any style/size in 5 bolt marzocchi fitting but theyll still be wimpy little thin mtb discs - anything mx like youd need a different hub/spacer - kx65/ktm65 excels/talons is easiest. They actually fit pretty easy - especially if you have the 15mm axle already. The nissin kx65 caliper is pretty good too, may be even easier to fit than a 85 one.

Give Eadon a call, He may be able to make you up a stepped adapter plate.
Dan_250 may also know from this forum, he made up an adapter to run a 240mm disc on a SDG hub.

Those are the bolt on alternatives use zoke wheel and just bolt on the 5 bolt disc, and kx65 mounting bracket, but its not a cheap option. on the plus side when they are on they do look sweeet

Re: marzocchi disc alternatives

cheers for the replies guys, i'd rather have a bolt on kit rather than have to make more plates/adaptors. i already have the caliper adapter for the cr caliper from STR too as well as a new 12" (rear) excel rim

is this my answer?
