Me and a couple of mates decided we would do this on quads a year or so ago, but that was when I have some quads to do it on, those went with the business.
SO..
Thought we would try it on pitbikes. Start in Landsend, up through Wales - which has some great roads, up through central England through the pennines - again some great roads and then up through scotalnd - which incidenetly also has some top roads.
And aim to get some greenlaning/track days in on the way.
Would work out at approx 1000 miles. When we were looking at it we found that there were loads of companies who would dontae to it - eg spare tyres, oil, accomodation - provided we plastered everything in their logos. As I dont have a road pit - Im happy to volunteer to drive the 4x4 "maintenance vehicle" - we picked up a jeep cherokee and ripped everything out the back which is perfect for the job - and also means I can follow the bikes on any green lanes.
So far there are just the 3 of us - just wondered if there was anyone else interested - obviously you would need a road legal pit bike, and money for petrol ( we are budgeting approx 500 quid for the whole trip inc petrol, food, track days etc - based on being able to blag a few parts/accomodation). I would guess it would take 4 days at approx 7 hours a day of riding. - The more riders, the more chance of some decent sponsors and rasing some decent sums.
Any interest?
PS. - All money raised goes to charity.

Each day allows for aprox 6-7 hours driving, which leaves loads of time for stops, greenlanes, etc etc.
The route itself isnt final but its more or less where we were planning on going last year. In the summer, we will have 14 or so hours of light/day so 7 hours of driving/riding isnt that long, eg ride from 9 till 12 then from 2-6 or whatever.
