Ycf pitbike event at Sussex motocross today

Not very well organised or pushed but we went to see what it's all about today,

Ycf run first round of pitbike racing with along side southern motocross, yes we rode the mx track on pitbikes was crazy but I must say had a good days racing in a long time.

They prepped the track for pitbikes to get round a little easier, did help but was still a challenge on some sections, but most sections where bone dry and the mud was very nice perfect conditions.

Only had around 15 pitbikers arrive but we made the most of it. Enough for 1 good race to show them mx boys with there big 450s that size does not matter.

Overall 1st place cw xtreme 140R ridden by Elliott Gardner very we'll ridden all day consistent and fast

Overall 2nd place cw xtreme 160R ridden by callan wood, as always go hard or go home, shocking first race crashed out about x5 times, 2nd race steady 2nd place, final race hole shot and had a little battle with ycf importer Ollie pope on his ycf factory bike, but struggled to keep up and crashed, so 1st place with a long lead.

3rd place I believe was Connor ward on his klx 155, going well but steady.

No ycf bikes in view but great days racing will try and get some pics up

Thanks callan

Re: Ycf pitbike event at Sussex motocross today

Had a great days riding. Track in pratice was super wet and boggy. But did get better throughout the day. Managed to win the 1st race, 2nd race was in 2nd but soaked up water on last lap and could only ride quarter throttle so ended up 5th, 3rd race I managed to hold on to 2nd. Don't think we will be doing next weeks but will deffo be attending another soon. Great pratice before the mbc,

Can't believe how quick the 160 and the daytona lumps are. Left me standing on the straights

But happy with the overall win

Big Thankyou to ycf for putting the effort in and getting the series on the go

1st round of the ycf minicross starts this weekend, 23rd of february at southern motocross, tracks called elvetham forest

2nd round will be held on the 9th of march with southern motocross at a track called pale lane
http://www.southernmotocross.co.uk/N...ut/Default.asp

hope to see some more minibike riders attending and showing the mx boys its good fun, and size doesnt matter

be cool to see some more pit bike companies putting there bikes out in the ycf minicross series this really does show how good quality pitbikes are now, if they can run round a mx track with no problems then that shows people how far pit bikes have come and this is now a series sport.

thanks callan
