New Mini Pit
Picked up the mini pit from Dan on sunday at stretton..... Thanks Dan!
Really pleased with it, very very quick bike, awsome fun to ride!
Got it home at about midnight last night, and I was shattered, chucked everything in the garage and started the onslaught today..
Started to strip it down ready for a fresh rebuild over the summer, First job is to tidy up and re-spray the frame
All the bikes on the trailer ready for home
The new bike
Scorpion Pipe
Started to strip it down:
DNM Shock
Choice of colour seems to be a deep metallic purple according to Emma (the girlfriend).
Looking for a new set of forks to fit, Prefer usd'd but need to keep cost to a minimum, Looking at the forks from a stomp ace50, this is so I can run a disk brake on the front
Theres no other plans at the moment as funds are very very low!
Watch this space.... It could end up pink with flowers

Re: New Mini Pit
Looking good James!
Have you got any riding gear for Emma yet. Rox will be on a bike in the next couple of months too.
Would probably be good actually, as they wont be singled out.
Can Emma ride a bike yet?
I'm quite lucky, I taught Rox on that LMX, so can ride it fluently off road, really well too.
So on the track, she should also be fairly decent. I'm sure she'll be kicking Toby's ass after a couple of sessions.
Colour scheme for my mini will also be something a bit girly. Has to be acceptable though because I'll be wanting to play on it too! Caxton FTW!

Cheers dude, Will look completley different once emma has her say!
Emma has only riden a mini moto, a little wobbly but none the less!
Shes just started her driving lessons, I hope once she masters the clutch in the car (which she practically has) she can transfer it to the bike. But will be starting off from scratch basically, taking it easy.
I have my old leathers (which are womans leathers as they were cheeper!) They should fit her fine, however, getting her to wear something that is 'so outa fashon liiike!' seems rarther difficult! LOL
Toby will be kicking laws ass next time out I recon, really improved sunday! hope he carries on riding like he did..
However, I think it will be good to see the girls lapping them too
Im not bothered on colour scheme, its fun as hell to ride and thats all that matters, I think it will go well arround caxton, seemed to go well at stretton too!

Re: New Mini Pit
Wouldn't pitbike usd's make the front end too high? assuming the frame is stock crf50 size, the best bet would be to get some genuine crf50 forks possibly with +1's, however, by you would also need a top clamp for the forks to fit bigger bars so might be slightly out of your price range.
Be carefull if buying pitbike usds as it might really mess up the geometry of the bike.
