Re: Corsa C Common Problems

ive got a vauxhall combo 1.6 petrol/lpg love it to bits drives lovely
the onely thing i know they have problems with is the gear linkage breaks because its made out of plastic lool as soon as i mentioned gearstick going floppy in vauxhall monorep the bloke behind the counter said gear linkage lool and the clutch pedal housing snapped causing me and my mate to struggle to refit it after welding it back together and the brake sensor switch surrounding plastic broke causing the brake lights to stay on but other than that i still love it,people say is your engine running i go yea they say its really quiet and its got 140k on the clock

Re: Corsa C Common Problems

If your after cheaper running costs, diesels are the way forward unless you can afford brand new cars. I have an old r reg astra with the 1.7td izusu engine in will do 50mpg on a steady run. But not only that insurance is cheap, just as quick as a 1.2 petrol and even better I run mine on a mix of diesel and veg oil. I'd recommend the 1.25 zetec fiesta tho not bad little cars basic but if its gotta be petrol there not bad

Okay guys, this is getting slightly tense... Name me a good, nice looking, economical car, which will also be cheap on insurance... I like CLEAN cars, not rusty old square shapped ones if that helps...

I gave you a unbiased opinion (from actual experience with them) they are good cars and I doubt you will have any major problems with them.
Whats your budget?

Re: Corsa C Common Problems

If I remember correctly the you drive a 1.8 petrol 306? Go for the 306 HDI. You're already used to the car so you know it, you can pick up really clean ones up to about 2001 reg and they are great on fuel. Get a remap and you're sorted.

Insurance group 5, which will be lower than yours is now too.
