road reg?

Hi mate,

I'm going to road reg my Demon X, going to need tyres for my 14 / 12 rims also a horn and speedo, possibly indys and lights not certain about a day time mot or full mot, Can you price up the necessary bits and give me a price for both packages please.

Cheers

Gary

Re: road reg?

Ring the shop mate, Callan isn't really on here that much, if you ring it's easier for you both to explane what you need!

Re: road reg?

Cost me £50 for tyres, Indicators are cheap, the expensive part is the wiring loom. £200 from OOracing, seen some for around £20 on ebay.
Horn and speedo you can get for under a £20. Get a bicycle speedo and Megahorn from ebay or Halfords. Need your Tax £16, Insurance £10-£40 a month, Headlight £20 ebay, Rear reflector £2.
Much cheaper GOING FOR A mot with no lights advisories (Daytime MOT)
Is the msva still "80-£90? And am sure theres more but worth it.
Lil inspiration to go for it

Re: road reg?

Now thats a good question mate. Will it go through without lights. My guess is No as its supposed to be an MOT on steroids. Your seat height around the 900mm mark too. Buying a road legal frame not an option? As you then just need MOT, tax and insuarance, tyres, horn, rear reflector and properly mounted reg plate bracket

Re: road reg?

my certificate of newness says

Demon X road legal ENDURO motorcycle
Ch no
Fr No

confirms seat height 910 mm
ground clearance 360 mm
vat no
hmrc entry ref no

any queries contact head office......

I think (hope) these have been registered previously as enduro bikes by the importer so should just be a question of paperwork, i used to work in the motor trade and have dealt with the dvla for imported vehicles, they don't usually ask to inspect them......
