Yz 85 Vin Code?

Hi looking for vin Code on my Yz 85 i found a "Code" but thing is its not 17digitis its only 13 excluding the - and 2 *\s onit the code s located on the right hand side of the frame where it should be, i just wanna know what year itis a friend guesses its 2001/2002 but i wanna know for sure what itis so i can order some parts, any ideas? the vin code i provide doesn't work on vin checkers thx

Check the vin with a proper Kawasaki parts dealer / shop like Cornwall or Cradley Kawasaki they should be able to tell you what year it is.
