Engine Head - Feeding Oil to Oil Cooler

Hi All

I tried attaching an oil cooler to my superstomp 125 earlier this evening.
I had the "head take off plate" and the piping etc and fitted it all.
I ran the bike for 15 mins or so and the oil cooler was still cold.

I took the piping off and started her up to see if oil came out the hole but it didn't.
So then, I took the "head take off plate" off to see if there was a blockage in that, and still no oil coming out of the head.

I thought **** there's probably an oil blockage stopping the oil getting from the bottom end to the head so I took the cam cover off and the valve cover off and it looked fairly wet with oil so it couldn't be that.

Just to be sure I took the head off and loosed the barrel off a bit and kicked the bike over to see if the oil came out of the hole - and it did!

Oil must be getting to the head, but for some reason it's not coming out of the hole it needs to so it can flow to the oil cooler.

My friend told me there might be two different types of heads.
One type that is meant for oil coolers and one that isn't.

Can anyone shed some light on this situation, I do have another head that looks a bit different in terms of valve covers etc and I will put that on and see if the oil flows where it needs to.

But, It would be good to have some educated answers on this matter..
Please

I know that...
I ride for long journeys. Anything to help cool an engine is worth it.
