Basic Body Positioning

(This also applies to Pit-Biking)
There are three main body positions in Motocross,
A, B and C

Firstly "A"
"A" meaning "Attack"
This position is used on straights, wide corners, jumps and whoops etc..
Firstly you need to have you elbows out and up (see pic below)
Now grip the bike with your knees,
you should look something like this pic





Next,
Position "B"
"B" Meaning "Braking"
This position is similar to the Attack position but you move your arse all the way to the back of the seat, you do this to move your weight to the back of the bike.
As allways, elbows up and out!!!
and grip the bike with you knees!!





And lastly the "C" Position
You've probably guessed that this means "Cornering"
Firstly move yourself as far up the seat as possible,
You need to have you outside arm straight,
and to have you inside leg as far forward as possible while pointing your toes.
And grip the bike with your knees
