smart ass he means like on a crosser on some of the models mainly older ones you re-sleeve them i had to do it on my kx500

well we've established that its cheaper to buy a new barrell head etc. Then get a new piston o.s.,rebore or sleeve.

Also it depends on you barrell.i thought it was only 2/'s that could be sleeved.

best thing to do bud is have a look in the yellow pages find a company close to you and speak to them maybe even take it to them with my kx i had to let them see it there is also another way were they dip the it and re-cote it then polish it its leaves a nickel layer around the inside but they will more than likely resleeve it for you but also have a look on ebay see if you can find a knackerd engine or someone bracking the same engine might just be easyer to get a new one

if its light, honing it will sort it, if the marks are too deep it will need a rebore
rule of thumb: is if you can feel it with your finger nail plain as day then it needs to be bore'd out

Rang up a local bike place .. they want ...
£120 + VAT for a Re plate
£26 + VAT for a Re bore + whatever for a piston
£120 + VAT for a Re Sleeve
