timing marks

when setting the timing do i use the top dead centre mark or the firing point mark on the flywheel

the °mark on the cam sprocket has to mark the > at the head AND the T-mark on the flywheel has to line up with the > on the bottom

i havent got a t mark i have a tdc and a firing point mark on the flywheel
