ok i am very new to this decided to take up a new hobby. Got myself what i think is a 2009 model stomp 150cc kxr. If someone could confirm this that would be great.
i picked this up for £40 which i think is a good deal for spairs or repairs guy says it needs a new piston and gasket to run as it doesnt start.
I dont know anything about bikes. If anyone can help with how i start to check over the bike to see what needs fixed or replaced and where to buy the right parts.I also dont know how much this is going to cost so any help in deciphering what exactly is wrong with bike would be appreciated as i said not a scooby cdoo
the exhaust and some things like the brake discs and other small silver things would it just be a case of wire brush till there shiny?
There is an oil leak i have a picture of the guy has tried to cheap fix the gasket from what i understand as he has used silicon where the cdi connects to the engine and the oil leak i think is coming from their or from only having one bolt inthe exhaust where the engine connect to it. pics below for people to see. guy also said he fitted new forks, brake lever a gear selector. and a new clutch(so he says but i have not a clue) also think it needs a new chain as the one thats on looks sh*tty
Lastly how can i tell if the engine is beyond repair.?
