'09 Tax Laws
Although, not really I new topic. I still despise the idea.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...nbudget114.xml
The new tax laws will mean that I would have to cough up £200 a year for a classic mini (when I pass my test and get it)! Does anyone see the sense in this? I might as well get a bloody Corsa or Saxo the way this is going, and that's just shameful!
The government said that it is aimed to cripple those who buy Range Rovers and the likes, but please explain why my tax would go up 90% while a Porsche 911 would only go up 13.3%?

Two things in life are certain; death and tax
I just find it pretty crap that we are taxed so much for our cars and running them and have you seen the state of the roads! I was constantly dodging them on the way back home today, where exactly does the money go? (Or more to the point, whos pocket does it go into?)

Ok, this is the UK, stop moaning about it when you are in the que to pay the tax with other people.
Dont moan, either dont pay the tax, or pay it, or move to Australia or New Zealand.

It pays for all are european and non european brothers and sisters, they have to live some where and need money to spend to, just think every time you buy a litre of fuel, at least half the money goes to them, i mean they need language interpretors at there new english schools,, they cost money you know.
You have to pay for that.
i m so glad my car runs on cooking oil, that way Brown does not get all my money, only 17.5 % of the oil i buy, no fuel duty for me my friend!

Re: '09 Tax Laws
only works in diesels mate, and its not pure vege oil, you have to mix it with diesel aswell, like 70% deisel 30% oil, otherwise it will be really hard to start from cold, and its not good for the engine, so ive heard.
