Re: Am6 engine conversions

the am6 is only 50cc, and not a quick engine in stock form (but a good base for tuning).

Your 125, 140, 160 pit bike engine will all be quicker than it most likley. There is a TZR thread in here by binge if you are interested.

You are unlikley to find a very detailed thread that will give you everything you need, as a 2t build in a pit frame is a not a bolt in bolt out type conversion - especially when it comes to the exhaust!

The Wpb 120 claims 12bhp at the wheel

My old Honda msx claimed 9bhp and was definaly quicker then the pit bike. The am6 can be made to put out an easy 10 plus with a bore kit.

Can anyone who's had a 120 and a 140 tell me how much better the 140 felt

Bike: RFZ 140 open
Re: Am6 engine conversions

140 is an absolute beast with plenty of torque

Bhp sells the bike
Torque wins the race

I know what an AM6 can put out once tuned, I was saying STOCK you will be wasting your time.

And try getting a tuned 2t motor to make decent power when your exhaust expansion chamber and stinger aren't exactly where they need to be - which is a challenge when fitting to a pit unless you can afford to get a customer exhaust system made (probably best part of £500)
