Daytona 190 engine

Hi guys looking at some
Options for next year to race in supermoto what are the daytona engines like ?
Are they rely worth all the hype?
Also looking at a

Handel better as lower etc but let me no what you guys think

Re: Daytona 190 engine

i have heard it is better to fit a big bore to the 150, than buy the 190.

Cant remember why but two people I have chatted to have said the same so I imagine there is something in it.

crf150's on 12" stick like s**t to a blanket and go really well, i bought one in sm trim and tried it out on some private land before i put it back to its intended use but you also have to remember they cost more to maintain

Re: Daytona 190 engine

Iv not ridden one... but I think the daytona 190's suck.. arnt they about £1500?

Watch my open class vid from lydd about half way though I drive up to the rear wheel of one, and then outbrake, I know braking has nothing to do with it but the run I get to the rear wheel on a stock 140 had me laughing like a girl at the mega bucks motor

CRF150s are FAST! If I had the money I'd buy one for supermoto.

Yes. You're better to bore then to stroke an anima.
You could probably pick one up new for a grand.

Ive just built an 150 for mx. Custom kibblewhite valves
Mbf trans & clutch etc etc the full works.

Nice motors though

Such a shame you ruined it skip.

I saw storm stacey do a 51 second lap of whilton on a crf150r with a big bore kit. He weighs next to nothing and is a great rider, but thats where I'd be sticking my open class money if I had any.

Instead I don't so I'm going to try and run my rm80 next year in open. Its got 26bhp, but not exactly easy to ride...so might be a complete flop
