Are the 2 sprays any different?
Do they need a primer and laquer?
Will the tin of paint leave brush marks?
Dont have much dosh so cheaper the better
Would it look better sandblasting then painting

Re: High temp paint

Just rub back whatever your spraying really well then degrease and rub back again and do about 5 coats thats what i do anyway and no laquer as the paint usaly reacts badly as i found out.

CARPLAN stuff is good

Re: High temp paint

ive painted about 5 mini a series engines with normal paint and they were fine(bearing in mind they were race engines and reaching extreme temps)

the best stuff i used was from halfords made by plasticote and was gold.
used a white primers and the finished result actually looked like gold, it was awesome.

but for a head or block on a car, any paint will do

dont forget a good few coats of laquer because brake fluid, engine oil, petrol will all remove the colour

Re: High temp paint

Smooch2009 painted his PW with hammerite ...

It comes in a pot not the aerosol type and brush it on ...

Comes up great shiny black and is hard wearing and heat resistant

Similar stuff to the paint in your first link
