WPB 140 Review

This is my review for the Welsh Pit Bike 140,

I brought the bike from welshpitbikes when the bike first came out.

I thought the service was good and the delivery was fast.

After we put the bike together we sore that one of the rear side number panels was snapped, this was a pain considering to get some new plastics you had to pay £30 for a hole set rather than just one plastic.

After a good ride on the bike it was clear that the bike had a very nice engine and the geometry was very nice.

Unfortunately my brother crashed the bike and snapped the front fender and number plate, the plastics are not as strong and are very brittle.

I am going to list the all of the Good & Bad points of the bike;

Good:

- Great to ride

- Handles jumps very nicely

- Shock & Forks are very good

- Rear brake is very good

- Easy to ride for a begginer & very fun for experienced riders.

Bad:

- The front brake is terrible, a mountain bike brake has more stopping power

- The sub frame is wonky

- Rear side number plastic arrived broken, the other broke when riding, the rear plastic also has snapped around the nuts (haven't even over tightened the nuts)

- all the nuts and bolts are very cheap and round off very easily

- the engine threads have worn away, this is very frustrating because you cant do any thing about it

- The throttle is low quality and has jammed a few times

- The seat is horrible, after 10 mins riding you are basically sitting on the sub frame.

- Both leavers have snapped just by accidently dropping the bike in wet mud.

- When cleaning the bike, i took off the exhaust can and the spring has ripped off one of the clips

- The exhaust sounds horrible

- On the sub frame the bolt to hold the plastics on has snapped (pictured)

- Chain is very hard to adjust

- Mud is thrown onto the air filter

- Air filter has fallen apart and had to been glued back together

All of these ruin the experience even if your only looking for a bit of fun

Most of these problems ruin the bike, if these did not exist the bike would be amazing, but if you are looking for a trouble free pit bike i would not recomend this bike, it seems that you have to upgrade nearly every component before stuff stops braking, i would avoid this bike and look at the Stomp 140 KZR, it seems to be the better choice, as it has a improved seat, stomp exhaust and it has also got stomps reputation

This would be a great bike, but i feel cheated because of the low quality of some of the cheapest parts.
