stomp 140, wont start, poor compression, wont tickover
any idea's on what it could be? When kicking the bike over it feels more like a 110 than a 140 and it wont start from kicking it, you have to bump it and it will fire straight away, i have to do it like this all the time until the bike is warm then it will start off the kicker first time but still feels like there's hardly any compression there, the bike wont tickover at all either unless i turn it right up then it will. When the bike is going it keeps up with 3 other stomp 140's without any problems? Any idea's anyone?

will most probably low compression (new rings).
Is there a strong spark ?

Adjust mixture screw, thats the problem my guess. If it runs as well as similar bikes compression is fine. Adjust screw to get the most stable, fastest idle

stator plate, how do i check / adjust that? Will the valve clearance's have anything to do with the low compression?

Forget the stator. Wouldnt run if it it was fubr. Valves a possibility, adjust and see. But how do you know you hav low compression? Hav you measured it?

no just comparing it to the other 3 stomp 140's i know and a thumpstar with a 140 in, they all have loads of resistance on the kickstart but mine is more like kicking a 50cc scooter over lol

Re: stomp 140, wont start, poor compression, wont tickover
I know this thread was started a long time ago but I've just bought a 2nd hand 140cc stomp and I have the same problem, just wondering what it was so I could maybe get my bike sorted!
Cheers in advance!
