stomp 140 wont start

hey guys

had my bike for a few weeks now. Always takes ages to start but it does eventually. Now my bike wont start.

took it for a good thrashing at a track on sunday and i just tried starting it. Some guys messed with the air/fuel at the track and it was backfiring and running like crap.

put everything back to normal. it started for a while and rode it about for a minute then it cut out. Noticed the fuel was off then turned it on. Now i cant start it at all.

the idle screw has been messed with also so whats the default setting for that? And the kick start has no force behind it anymore. Checked for compression and spark and its all there.

any ideas? its been run in, fresh oil (3hours ride time used).

Re: stomp 140 wont start

check your spark colour
And take the fuel tube off the carb and put back on incase you have an air bubble inside.

Re: stomp 140 wont start

ok tried all that and still no avail!

another thing thats changed, the kick start used to have force at tdc but now i can keep kicking it over and over and i cant feel any tdc. If i open the throttle then kick it has abit of force but if you dont nothing with happen.

its as if whatever attaches to the kickstart has sheared its teeth???

whatever it is im loosing my rag with this ****ing bike.

Re: stomp 140 wont start

If the kickstart just freely goes down when you kick it ( i.e hardly any pressure on it ) your clutch has gone or just needs re-connecting

Re: stomp 140 wont start

wheres the cable for the clutch? is it the one that attaches to the top of the left hand side of the engine?

just seems strange that it could be the clutch, this whole thing started out with the fuel mix screw
