Look behind the left hand rear plastic for a reg-rec. You want to take a feed from the Black wire coming out of it, And run this to a junction box. This will be where you can take all your live feeds from to run your electrics.

Ben

Ben

It depends on the regulator whether he wants the black wire or not.

IIRC, you feed the black INTO a switch + for it to start to regulate the power. Usualy you want the Red feed out of the regulator.

Ben, You might be confused with Honda wireing as With honda's the Black cable is switched + where as Red is constant.

Re: road legal wireing lights

I'll have to disagree with you on this.

My regulator, Pink and Pink ( or known as yellow, yellow or pink,yellow etc) are unregulated from the stator. I agree with that.

However, I have Green, Red and Black comming out of my regulator.

Green = Earth

Red = + Goes to ignitiont switch, which i then use black for switched +

Black = regulator switch. (comming out of regulator)

If i dont have the black going to switched positive i dont get 12v out of my Red + cable. I get all kinds of crazy voltages asif the regulator is just passing current and not regulating it. I've always used black as swtiched + on pit bikes, same as the looms from monkey bikes and actual Honda motorcycles...

lol, Yes. See what i mean ?

I did say at the beginning it depends on the regulator.

I wasn't argueing that Black is switched positive its because it is IF its based on honda wireing. Just that it may not be a Positive at all as its used for the regulator itself.
