The eagerly awaited Entry forms and regulations for the 2012 Great 8 Mini Bike Enduro, supported by STOMP and WELSH PITBIKES are out now. The Mini Bike event is now a fully fledged part of the 8th staging of the QRA Great 8 Endurance Festival which is the largest Quad event in the UK. The 2011 Mini Bike event was said to be the Mini Bike of the year, with this year being at a brand new venue, which includes an arena style part of the course, which will help to make the event and the atmosphere the best ever. The Venue is Dauntsey nr Swindon within close proximity to the M4, with an aprox 4km lap with Undulating Open Fields, Hills, Woodlands and Arena section.
The event kicks off on the evening of Friday 31st August with the welcome party, with the action commencing on Saturday morning with the 4 Hour QRA Great 8 Youth Quad Enduro. We then move to the Stomp/Welsh Pitbikes sponsored Great 8 Mini Bike Duro on Saturday afternoon which runs for 3 hours, with this year the option for riders to compete in teams of 2. Then its party time in the Marquee with DJ Stumpy which follows the presentation from the days events.
On the Sunday is the the 8 hour QRA Great 8 Adult Quad event. This event is legendary and see's both feats of individual endurance and team work for the riders and teams to finish. Sunday evening will see again the Presentation of the days events and entertainment in the Marquee with the never quiet DJ Stumpy.
The big thing about the Great 8 is the social side as well as the riding and is one event not to be missed!
We have lots of prizes and awards for riders and new classes and groups this is going to be a fun event for riders of all abilities and standards to enjoy:
MINI BIKE CLASSES: Riders 15 years of age +
MID SIZE UP TO 160cc CLASS (A):
MID SIZE Pit Bikes up to 160cc 4st air cooled. Must be an open-cradle pit-bike frame. Wheels; Maximum 12" Rear. Maximum 14" front.
MINI SIZE UP TO 125cc CLASS ( :
Mini Pit Bikes up to 125cc 4st air cooled. Must be an open-cradle pit-bike frame. Wheels; Maximum 10” Rear. Maximum 12" front.
REGARDLESS OF CLASS THE GREAT 8 MINI BIKE DURO top ten are top ten to finish regardless of one or two person team or machine
combination. This opens up riders teaming up if they want to regardless what they ride
Awards:- Trophies to the top ten overall and top three in each class.
Plus other awards, sub classes and spot prizes etc. such as Sub Classes taken from within ie; Up to 50cc. 1st Oldest Combined Rider Age.
