Rs50 2002

Found an RS50 for £400. Nothing wrong with it other than the headlight & side panels are missing but the guy will throw in a complete set of fairings for £40. It's a 2002 model in good condition. I'm not sure how much these bikes go for, is that a good price?

If it's in full working order apart from cosmetics its not a bad price - not amazing, but not bad.

Take a good look at it though, what a seller calls "full working order" can mean a lot of different things.

There will be forums specifically for the rs50 which might be better placed to give advice.

Ill give it a look over by the guy has been a mechanic for 30 years, 20 of them being on motorcycles. He was my teacher at college, knows what he is talking about that's for sure. Any idea what they sell for fully running/complete?

varies on what the condition. mileage and age and if its a write off or not.

If your doing it to make cash then tread carefully, and check out completed listings on ebay for similar bikes, and dont assume you will get top dollar for it.

If it was just throwing on the plastics, why hasn't he done it? It's an hours work.

He doesn't buy to sell, has almost 40 bikes throughout his property. Buys them to use on other projects or if the price is stupidly cheap. Get on well with him so he is doing me a favor, other than that he doesn't advertise the bikes.

He just wants work the bike owes him, in this case £400.
