Just got some specs on my 138cc lifan engine.

The yanks on PlanetMinis are saying that lifan make a 138cc engine, And thats what mine is, Not a 125 with a 138 bore kit.

Heres some specs from the site.

55.5mm Stroke
27/23 Big valve head

the lifan 140 has 140cm3 stamped on the barrel and is a kick in gear gearbox..youve got a non start in gear gearbox which is a 125 gearbox..they made a 138 kit for that engine..genuine lifan 140 has a different clutch cover to the one you have because the clutch is more central to the engine rather than at the front...

your best off consulting dr pepper as he has a genuine lifan 140 kick in gear engine...ive actually done some work on his engine,so i know the difference..ive also got the same 125 engine as you on my shelf...

Yeah mate i know mines not a 140 now.

But just glad to see my engine wasn't bodged and lifan actually make 138cc's from the factory.

lifan didnt make a 138 engine..why would they make a 138 and a 140???no point..the 138 is just a big bore kit for the 125 bottom end...a genuine lifan 140 has 140 stamped on the barrel and a kick in gear gear box.
