Re: track proposal north east england

well just got an email from the police rep at bikewise he is going to ring me sunday morning when he is back at work and see what can be done about appling for a grant and opening an off road track for pit bikes in the north east he is also going to make it possible for any data or stats needed on anti social behaviour that is down to pits to be at my disposal when i send of for the grant application
so stomp on board
bikewise/police on board
forum members soon to be known as
nepba north east pit bike association on board

lots to do yet and a long way to go but its a promising start
so will speak with the officer sunday morning am riding from 10am till 4pm sunday so then i will update with what was said sunday evening

Re: track proposal north east england

sounds quite promising

there is a very good chance of this happening if the police are onboard with it you should come up with something along the lines of that riders have to sign a form saying they cannot sue if they are injured using the track, the dangers of riding are at the riders own risk kinda thing.

that will eliminate the thing that the council hate the most, possible chance of them forking out money

already on that m8 the police think its a viable idea and if its a community track and its free as its lottery funded basically it will be upto the runners (the selected members of the nepba and the bikewise reps to open up close up and sort the up keep of the track) big signs saying riders use at there own risk means no public liability so all the council will have to do is find a plot of land for a small learner track and a pit track and some parking to sell and sorting the permission to use the land for such purposes the amount of waste land there is that cant be built on ect am sure they have something

My dad's just had a brainwave, how about a disused warehouse? You'd be just as likely to find an old warehouse as a field, and the warehouse wouldn't have as much noise pollution to the local area. Just have a small open door in a corner or something and a couple of fans in the roof to take out the fumes etc.. Fill it with mud, get a mini jcb in, and off you go!

Also mate, whats this nepba you speak of??
