To a certain degree all the bikes are pretty similar it depends and what you want to do how much you want to spend . You can spend up to £1,000 and get a bike that will give you a lot of fun but isn't likely to withstand the abuse with that comes with racing Plus it would have to have 12/ 14 inch wheels to be race legal so the 14:17 would only be ok for practice . I have a second hand Stomp Z2 140R which could be raced in the 140 class and would be up to the task because it has a DNM hornet shock and SP forks which although maybe not top of the range they are certainly up to the job and I am about 15 and a half stone so can assure you they have had a good test . For the money I would certainly recommend a Stomp and the Moto X1 160 look like decent purchases
