spark plug thread

I need to helicoil my head after the previous owners stripped the thread for the spark plug. I dont have the plug here with me atm so cant clarify the thread size....

They are M10x1mm in our bikes arent they?

Re: spark plug thread

If it's just a 125 small valve head, I've got one you can have for price of postage.

Saves bodging it with a helicoil.

Re: spark plug thread

Bodging with a heli coil? Heli coils are steel inserts and will be one million times stronger than the soft ally they manufacture the heads out of. Providing they are done properly of course. Im an aircraft manufacturer so we use them alot...just not the mega mega fine weird threads they use on spark plugs.

Its a 140cc YX head mate. Thanks for the offer though
