Bike: None!
How to adjust the main jet

  • Insert the pin through the thicker end of the adjustable needle
  • Slide the spring over the needle onto the shaft
  • Slide the brass washer over the needle onto the shaft
  • Slide rubber washer over the needle onto the shaft
  • Remove the drain bolt from the base of your carb float chamber (keep it safe)
  • Screw the needle into the base of the carb float changer
  • Remove the float chamber from the base of the crab
  • Remove the main jet by locking the top part with a spanner and using a flat blade screw driver to remove the jet
  • Replace the main jet with the new jet seat
  • Re attach the float bowl, careful not to damage or pinch the gasket

To set the carb up, screw the needle all the way in, then with the bike running, rev the engine and unscrew the needle until the bike revs cleanest. That's it!

After that, screw the needle in for leaner and screw out for richer.

Re: How to adjust the main jet

On some carbs you have a big nut on the bottom of the carb that when you remove it you can see the main jet.
On other carbs you will need to take of the float bowl( the bottom part of the carb)
Then you just remove it & check the number on it & go one smaller at at Time until you get it jetted right.
You need to look for Faded's post on how to jet & read it first.
