engine removal

Morning, I have a 05 plate skyteam 110-8 with a 49cc kinlon engine fitted, and I need to remove the engine, How easy is it? can someone give me a quick order of how to do it, or is there a link to some sort of manual for these bikes????? thanks

Very straight forward:

Disconnect the wires from the generator - note what goes where!!

Disconnect throttle cable from carb, or remove carb and leave it connected to cable.

Take off front sprocket/footrests

Disconnect exhaust.

Then it's just 2 bolts at the back of the engine and it's out, it takes 5 minutes once you've done it a few times and got the hang of it.

What you replacing it with?? Something grunty??

Not for a minute, first task is to un ring it!!!! lets just say previous owner thought he could outsmart the gods in swansea with his own set of number stamps, the result loks like something my dog would do with a crayon!!!! dvla inspector is more than happy for me to put things right as i have relevant paperwork to confirm what the engine is, so just for now keeping everything legal, for now............

Sounds like a man with a plan - big engines aren't illegal as long as everything is declared to the right people.
