Re: Metal Flakes in oil
yes bud, if you pop that case off your presented with the clutch,
undo the 4 bolts holding the springs down
remove them and the plate and you'll have the clutch itself, unscrew that bolt, you may need the right clutch removal socket for that, then take it out along with the clutch basket,
This will give you a good internal view, is the bike kicking ok?
I have just had to replace my kick start gears on a 6 month old z155ho as there prone to wearing and breaking, but your CHUNKS look like casing metal,
Keep us posted but dont run it until you know its got to be something broken i'm afraid.

Re: Metal Flakes in oil
Those dont look like flakes to me... but it may be the problem to your kick starter that wont stay up right, you must have broke a gear or shaft...

Re: Metal Flakes in oil
refering baxk to a fair few posts, your kick start gears are shredding, this will be down to the intermeidate shaft bearing being in tiny bits, byt he looks of it along with your centre casing, you really should have whipped it off to check the other side as advised mate,
i'd rite off riding it, and get the engine out and strip it all the way down, as we can only guess now at the damage, your eyes wont lie.
