Re: kx 85 oil to petrol ratio

With my sons KX85 , I was told by Vic Eastwoods to use Super Unleaded petrol and use 150ml to 5 litres oil to petrol mix , which is 33:1.

KI3TH: theres a post on mxtrax about these v-power fuels etc. and people have said although on paper it would run better,on a single cylinder engine where the fuel has to be mixed a oil it won't be much different also theres no point in using super unleaded if your gunna use a ****e 2 stroke oil.

not digging at you just saying that theres not that much difference and not worth the extra 20p per litre.

I know all about bikes so when my boys bike was in having some work done I thought I would ask the blokes that work there.
Asked the bloke that had worked on our KX and that was his recommendation and I went with it.

The extra expense is not an issue , I just want to make sure that I am not doing anything detrimental to his bike.

Thanks for the info anyway HarrisoN.
I will have a look at that on MXTrax I think.
