Anyone else own a lifan wacky?

Hi, new to this monkey bike thing(last bike was a zx6r!) Have just bought a 2008 lifan wacky 110 with 700kms on it for £400 of ebay, has been owned and looked after by an elderly man beore me and still looks new! What a great thing it is to ride! Get looks and smiles wherever i ride it! Just a little problem with the battery not charging at the moment but that can be sorted. Anyone else own one? Any stories or problems I should know about?

Re: Anyone else own a lifan wacky?

keep riding, eventually it will charge. If not batt is completely dead. And you will need to get new fluid or a new batt.

I ride a monkeybike aswell. Hella loads of fun where abouts do you ride?

I've got 4 Jinchengs that range from a stripped 50cc to a fully worked 140cc. Where about are you?

Thinking about a smaller rear sprocket to get a bit more cruising speed outof it. anyone done this? also waiting for micro indicarors to turn up.

Yeah, I've gone 16T on the front and 24T on the rear, still a bit undergeared though. I'm not running the standard motor though, highly tuned YX140

It pulls right off the speedo, to just past the little Jincheng sign on the speedo... and that's in 3rd, 4th gear gets the needle pointing at the 6 oclock position.

Re: Anyone else own a lifan wacky?

nice! could be a bit hairy going down the road at that speed on a bike so small!Howmuch smaller would i have to go to make a difference? Mine quite happily potters along at 40 but above that sounds like its screaming a bit!

Re: Anyone else own a lifan wacky?

My bike handles suprisingly well but the chassis has been tweaked to handle extra power with USD front end with a big disk and extended swingarm and uprated shocks on the back. Theres a photo in my garage on here of my bike if you want some inspiration.

I would drop 4/5 teeth on the rear or add 1 tooth, maybe 2 on the front. It's really trial and error, front sprockets tend to be cheaper than rears, so I always buy the lowest rear I can and then change fronts as I need too.
