swing arms???

hi guys/gals

i just picked up my first bike... a cheap chineese thing.. but still fun. i noticed when i bought it the rear suspension was quite soft and started asking questions to my mates.. we changed the spring today and still no difference ( bottoms out quite easily...). when we looked at my mates bike i noticed he had a different swing arm to me... his is the a- frame style and mine is the h-(??) style frame. could someone explin what the difference is and if mine is a specialised piece of kit... if it requires a special spring ect...

Thanks fella...could u explain the diff... If any. and what spring i should have fitted with mine?? im struggling with the carb at the moment but should get her sorted tommo... Pls pls pls.. Lol.
Any help/directions would be appreciated.

Pictures of your bike would help, normally a frame are 270mm and around a 350lb spring, mx around a 285mm and a 1000lb
