KTM 65sx

Hi folks, just noticed a bit of smoke coming from the bottom of the front exhaust on my nephews ktm 65sx. Took it off and it looks like it has been drilled. Surely it's not meant to b like this or is it?? It's next to the seam on the fat section on it. Can anyone tell me wether this is normal? Surely you'd b loosing power.

Re: KTM 65sx

hmmm, does the hole look clean, as in drilled at factory rather than rough being drilled at home? is it at the lowest point of the exhaust when it is fitted to the bike to allow any collected fluid drain out?

Re: KTM 65sx

Yeah, it's at the lowest point. Right in the center beside the seam. It looks like it's always been there, cleanly drilled! Surely you'd be loosing power. Maybe I'm wrong? Confused wether to buy a new one or let it go

Re: KTM 65sx

it'd be worth phoning any of the ktm main dealers and asking about it, or ask on mx trax, there'll be a ton of mx dads there who will be able to tell you if their kids bikes are the same
