Exclamation Front Brake Pads

Good afternoon,

I have recently changed my front wheel and whilst doing so my front brake pad dropped out of the right hand side. I placed it back in and put the wheel on and it seems to be working fine, is one of the pads supposed to be like this?

Cheers
