Re: My experience with CW Bikes

I think this goes to show that issues happen with every company – and to be fair I doubt very much any company would go about swapping off a decent clutch cable, and putting on a cheaper one, as the amount of aggro over such a small saving isn’t worth it. Seems more likely it’s just a cheap bike, made from cheap parts, with a decent profit on it as road going pits are hard to get hold of so the price isn’t driven down by competition…

Wheel bearing and brake pads are notoriously rubbish on cheap Chinese bikes – just like the chain… not what you want to hear, but it is true.

The speedo is poor show though, it is a legal requirement and there is no excuse for a sealed unit to fail so soon (though if the wiring is so dodgy I imagine this isn’t helping matters).

There are two issues here, one is a poor quality bike, and the other is customer service being less than the customer expected

The reality is, pit bikes are cheap bikes, built to the lowest price possible – which is why they get such tiny warranties. If you want a warrenty, buy Japanese.

If you want a decent road legal pit, I suggest you buy a trailtec digital dash for £50 or 60, sort the wiring (solder etc), and then flog it quick.

Then use the £1000 ish you might get back towards a 2nd hand Kawasaki KSR 110. Same as a pitbike, but MILES better built.

With regards to the customer service - thats a choice for each company. Ryan air treat customers like cr@p every day, rolls royce walk on eggshells - but each company has t choose how to act and either spend the money to keep customers happy, or accept that they don't mind them being unhappy.

Re: My experience with CW Bikes

As mentioned in this write up these are a stomp product i can only go by the stomp manufacture warranty, which is exactly what i did...

you was fully aware they only had a months warranty and if you wasnt happy with that you shouldnt of purchased the bike in the first place. you purchased the bike last year it has been well over 3 months, do you know any pitbike riden alot lasting 3 months with nothing braking from wear and tear? looking at the pictures of how rusty you have let it all get and the state of the products that this bike has not been looked after or maintained in anyway. i dont understand how you can blame it on cw bikes for rusting and not being maintained when for starters it came from stomp factory,we build, assemble, check and send out we have sold over 50 units last year, also the bike was nothing like that when leaving our premises that i can assure you.

you contacted me about your speedo i stated stomp had none in stock and didnt have any for ages so rather then leave you with nothing we paid out of our own pocket for a upgraded speedo to compensate for the faulty one.
When these speedos arrived we then realized we needed your wiring harness from speedo to loom to adapt them to fit these bikes, please note this did delay us you did email saying you was not happy with how long it took and i did apologies and guarantee you it will be with you by the end of the week which is was,

the clutch cable im afraid was not under warranty, as this was a wear and tear item unless you can prove it was down to a manufacture fault. however on your listing you have stated you have had 3 i find it hard to understand these 3 are all manufacture faults you must be well using this bike and riding the clutch a lot.

with the graphics they were for crf70 i would like to see the pictures of these graphics as they didn't fit the plastics?
also you say you purchased some for 35 pounds this was not from us and that was not just the price of the graphics you must of got a full set of extra plastics also.

all the other parts were months in advanced which again is down to stomp only having a months warranty which you knew when you were happy to purchase the bike.

i have replied to you every time and told you over and over again if they would give me under warranty you would have all the products, but there is only so much we can do once well over a month i dont have a leg to stand on to claim through stomp under warranty anymore with this bike. therefore the only thing i can do is advise you which you were not willing to accept so i have nothing more to say unless if you would like my advice then i am more then happy to give it at anytime.

it wasn't until you said to take the matter further because you don't want our help or advise, because as a business we didn't compensate for everything on your bike, i then previously emailed last saying to do that, so then i have stopped emailing pointlessly as there is nothing more to say you do not want any help you just want all your parts paid for that you have run into the ground.

Also the way you spoke to me numerous times on the phone, i am not very happy about, i am still as customer service willing to advise and help providing your not rude.

as i have already said maybe you should of purchased a moped or a commuter not a road legal pit bike for £1250.00, yamaha honda etc these bikes new with the added extras you wanted would be pushing 5k.
these bikes brand new are only 1250.00 brand new, they are not built for everyday use, commuting, they are a fun enduro pitbike sunday rides around town. few green lanes bring home check maintain look after oil up ready for your next fun ride. not ready for college the next day and the rest of the week that is a commuter.

we are sorry you was expecting a lot more for your money but are hands are tied when selling another brand of bike.

if you want advice on how to deal with these issue's in the best and cheapest way call us and we will do our best to resolve any problems, but these will not be under warranty and that is stomp's policy.

thanks cw bikes

Under a month of use till I had to replace with a plastic+sticker set from WPB

The new set of plastics haven't peeled at all, they were put on properly too.

I would like to know why my bike (purchased 31st October 2013) came with an SR120 engine, no anti-snap foldback levers and it's not Start In Gear... yet that was the advertisement uptill 6th November 2013, probably was being advertised like that after that date too but that is the latest I can prove, so as you know, that's false advertisement.

I'm just getting all of this out in the open.

All goods must be:
as described
of satisfactory quality and
fit for purpose
If they're not, the retailer is in breach of contract and you have a claim under the Sale of Goods Act
^You know what that means

If your claim is about a problem that arises within six months of buying the product, it's up to the retailer to prove that the goods were of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described when it sold them.
Plenty of time to go Callan

^Edit

Satisfactory quality? - Far from it.
Fit for purpose? - It wouldn't pass an MOT after a month on the road so no.
As described? - I already have proof that it wasn't

You failed on all 3 points

If you're selling a product, the issues lay with you regardless of the brands.

its nice to see we have some good understanding general knowledge, with customer service there is only so much we can do when we are the middle man selling another brand. i upgraded the guy with a new koso speedo which i paid for to keep the customer happy, he will never be happy with this product as its not built for his purpose which is commuting and not maintaining. hence why he should of brought a better product for more money with a proper warranty. cause that's what this is all over.

i would like to think this is nothing to do with how we do business i spend day and night helping customers through customer service. if a customer was not happy with a product from the start they should be returned straight away.
