Kick back YX140

If you dont already no i have fitted a YX140 brand new

The compression is unreal!!
My mates was comparing it to a 426 or something.

Noticed that when cold with NO choke you get a almighty kick back
WITH choke she starts 1st 2nd kick with the od kick back

And once warm no kick backs, and start first kick easy

Ino it is best to start slightly after TDC as toasty/speedflash were i got my engine from just rang me and said you may think its good to have that amount of kick back and compression but ur kick start bearings wont think so...

He told me to ask you all "how to start the YX140 PROPERLY"

Rock the engine over TDC like what he says, turn your idle up 1/2 a turn & keep off the throttle and kick her over

No Choke, Tick over screw half a turn inwards no throttle.

If no looks check your valve clearance

Kick back can be caused by too advanced timing as well.
Could be an idea to back the ignition timing off slightly.

Someone's obviously never kicked one of these over The YX 160 is the same from cold, NO choke, NO throttle and turn the idle screw in 1/2 - 1 turn. Kick it all the way down HARD
Just waiting for the engine back from stomp with a replacement bottom end
