Smile My new Girl...cub 90

Road Pit gone, 90 in the building. I'm in love with this thing. Makes me smile everytime i see it. Mates think its hideous but cool, Girlfriend thinks Funny looking.
Your thoughts?

Ex owner fitted clear lenses, i likey.

Exhaust, OMG the exhaust

120cc LIFAN with Stomp sidecasings. Gear setup N,1,2,3,4, Anyone recognise the carb, What it may be?? Will look closer tomorrow

The legshields were growing on me, so removed them as i originally liked the honda cub without legshields fitted. Idea is to hide all wires possibly inside the frame and create a clean looking bobber.

Little surface rust here and there but solid looking frame. Engine got a oil cooler fitted, just wrong colour

Got some old parts/spares like analog speedo that could go on a road legal pit, selling when checked/repaired and working.

Months M.O.T, months Tax, £23 Insuarance even when i said i aint got my cbt yet
Tried to replace the pit with a bike that can fit pit engines as i like the setup, sound and affordability of parts and maybe so i could still tag along on this forum

Re: My new Girl...cub 90

Meant to say 3 months m.o.t, 8 months tax. Trying to bumm £80 off my girlfriend for my cbt at the moment lol. Had a quick test run this morning, hit 45mph easily in 3rd gear. Analog speedo is great. Would be really good on someones road legal project as you can open the facia, make your own colourd dials etc. The neutral light works with chineese engines too, great help for a learner like me.
Swifty thanks, The link to the c90 ride looks really good, will have a read through it as am c90 crazy at the minute
Lol J9D, Chavtastic mods are taking over the world, mmwuuaahahahaha. lol they aint that bad......are they?
Will be riding as it is for now whilst collecting parts, re-m.o.t then start chopping chunks of metal off for the bobber build
From this

to something like this

Re: My new Girl...cub 90

Without tyre levers I was dreading this but I managed to change my rear tyre for widr 3.00 tyre using just spanners and a little cooking oil. The original was a 2.50 wide tyre.
The new is taller and wider. Still need a 1" diameter throttle to fit over the thick harley Davidson handlebars I got off ebay.

Need to make a better reg mount too. Plus it isn't looking as minimal as I want it to be so am going to move the horn into the c90 black side panels. Am thinking of removing the sspeedo and mounts to clean up the front end a little more.
Help advice much appreciated.

Re: My new Girl...cub 90

to be honest bud its all looking a bit bodgy and scruffy i think fitting things like harly bars aint doing it any favours.
if it was me id strip it, paint it, run all cables and tubing through the frame and get the engine blasted then it will be nice and clean and minimal.

Re: My new Girl...cub 90

I agree with phil.

Do you have a dremel? Id get a polishing set an chrome up the engine
An fit the old forks an light etc. An either put the mags pn or the standards insted of one of each.

Have you thought of the reg on the side by the shock ? Will neaten the rear up abit then get a mini l.e.d brake light an mini indicators.

An a seat similar to the one on it but going along the whole bit so its not as scruffy

either way you want to be different an it is diffeent hhah
